Interested in walking around Disneyland from your computer or smart phone?

You will be able to real soon, with Google Maps.

People wearing odd-looking backpacks, called Street View Trekkers, have been spotted recently walking around the Disneyland Resort and its theme parks.

One such person was seen this week strolling the pathways in Frontierland and New Orleans Square near the Rivers of America.

While the employee walks about, multiple cameras in the backpack that carries a soccer-ball-shaped device that pokes above the employee's head constantly take photos. The cameras shoot 360 degrees, including straight up.

All of the images are combined by Google engineers.

The system also collects GPS data, making it easier for Google's engineers to combine the photos with actual locations on its online maps.

Disneyland officials confirmed that Google is working on the project.

Google has not said when the Street Views of Disneyland would be available. However, there are already a number of 360-degree photo locations from inside the parks and surrounding areas available now.

Street Views are already online for nearby Knott's Berry Farm.
