There’s no place that does Halloween quite like Disney. Once fall hits, the amusement parks offer plenty of tricks and treats—from ghoulish Halloween delights to magical new merch. There’s also the annual Halloween party, which features beloved Disney characters in an event that even the jumpiest park-goers will enjoy. This year, Tim Burton fans can rejoice at Disneyland’s new Oogie Boogie Bash, a Halloween party inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Disneyland’s website describes the Oogie Boogie Bash as a family-friendly Halloween party in which the villain from The Nightmare Before Christmas has unleashed Disney villains on Disney’s California Adventure Park. The event promises all the fun of Halloween at Disney, plus a few new tricks thrown in. Guests can go trick-or-treating, watch a parade, meet their favorite characters, and explore treat trails. In Pirate Bay, attendees can attend a nighttime show called “Villainous!” which features lights, lasers, and special effects galore, while in the Back Lot of Hollywood Land, guests can join a dance party inspired by the Descendants movies.

In terms of decorations, several areas of the park will be transformed enough to make Jack Skellington proud. Carthay Circle’s bell tower will be transfigured with a cloud of bats and other effects. The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will also get a spooky makeover.

It wouldn’t be a Disney Halloween without some haunted new treats, and according to the Disney Parks Blog, the Oogie Boogie Bash delivers. The site notes that party-goers will be able to buy Oogie Boogie-themed T-shirts, sweatshirts, and Mickey Mouse ears. To satisfy your sweet tooth, the park will be selling Oogie Boogie-themed funnel cake fries and a neon green drink topped with dice glow cubes.

The Oogie Boogie Bash kicks off on September 17th and is held across 20 nights throughout September and October. Tickets are currently on sale and will set you back between $110 and $145, depending on when you decide to go, and are sold separately from normal admissions. Guests attending the event can enter the park three hours before the party or four hours before on Sundays, October 29th, and October 31st. View available dates and purchase your tickets on the Disneyland website, or call 714-781-4636 to reserve your spot.

We’re stoked to see the park transform into the town of Halloween.
