Traveling in oversize caterpillars, visitors fall down the rabbit hole, dash into an upside-down room and a flower garden, greet the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat, and take part in a tea party where a very Mad Hatter presides. It's all good fun-and it should be even better after its renovation, scheduled for completion in the summer of 1984.

Disney officials said the Anaheim park voluntarily closed the ride July 15, 2010 after California Department of Occupational Safety and Health inspectors pointed out that it lacked handrails needed for maintenance crews who work on an elevated segment of the ride.
