April 15, 1956:--A petition filed in Superior Court yesterday sought $1,250 from Disneyland Inc. as settlement for damages suffered by a Menago boy in a miniature auto.
Garland Sumrall, stated in his petition to settle a disputed claim that his 10-year-old son. Garland Jr. suffered a broken leg, cuts, bruises and shock from an accident at the park April 14, 1956.

A contractor working on the "Small World" attraction at Disneyland slipped and fell Friday morning and was rescued by firefighters.
About 4 a.m. Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to a call of a technical rescue at the amusement park and discovered the worker, who was wearing complete safety gear, including a harness, suspended about 20 feet off the ground, according to Sgt. Daron Wyatt of

March 7, 1981:--18-year old Mel Yorba becomes Disneyland's first murder victim. Yorba is stabbed to death during a fight with James O'Driscoll, 28, who says Yorba had pinched his girlfriend. O'Driscoll stabbed him with an 8 1/2-inch knife.
He was treated by a park nurse, then taken in a Disneyland van to a hospital.
