Young padawans better start saving their allowance and babysitting money now if they want to buy one of the authentic lightsabers sold in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge when the new themed land opens this summer at Disneyland.

The realistic-looking lightsabers will set them back $158. That's a lot of lawn mowing money. And Disney won't take galactic credits. Only credit cards or cold hard cash.

The price of the the hilt, or handle, will be around $109 while the cost of the blade will be $49 depending on the style of lightsaber purchased, according to the Associated Press. Disneyland officials said lightsaber prices are still being finalized for Galaxy's Edge.

The $158 lightsaber price tag would be costlier than a $149 single-day ticket at the Anaheim theme park on the busiest "peak" day. And considerably more expensive than the $20 plastic toy lightsabers sold in Tomorrowland.

Within the new 14-acre themed land, pre-built "legacy" lightsabers associated with "Star Wars" characters like Shaak Ti and Ahsoka Tano will be sold at Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities.

A build-your-own lightsaber experience will be offered in Galaxy's Edge at Savi's Workshop. The premium up-charge experience will be led by the Gatherers, who have dedicated their lives to balancing The Force, according to the backstory developed for the hand-built lightsaber shop. Savi's will also sell pre-built lightsabers modeled after weapons used by Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren.

The realistic-looking lightsabers sold in Galaxy's Edge will have metal hilts, light-up blades and movie-like sound effects. Kyber crystals added to the hilts will determine the blade colors of the custom-made lightsabers.

The Jedi weapons will make contact sounds and powering up and down noises just like lightsabers do in the "Star Wars" movies. Belt clips will be sold in Galaxy's Edge so that the hilt can be attached at the waistband. The blades can be detached from the hilts and stored while visitors ride on attractions in the theme park.

The $109 estimated price for a premium pre-built hilt in Galaxy's Edge could include extra features such as sound effects, lighting effects, higher-grade materials and switchable crystal chambers.

Tomorrowland, prices range from $20 for entry-level lightsabers to $200 for premium boxed models. Galaxy's Edge is expected to have a similar price range for lightsabers.

Shop Disney sells Black Series Force FX versions of Darth Maul and Mace Windu's lightsabers with display stands for $175. The Disney website also sells plastic toy lightsabers modeled after the weapons used by Rey, Yoda, Darth Vader and Kylo Ren for $30 each.

The new Galaxy's Edge themed land will be set in the Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu, located on the outer rim of the "Star Wars" galaxy. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens in June at Disneyland in Anaheim and late fall 2019 at Disney's Hollywood Studios near Orlando, Fla.
