The popular Pirates of the Caribbean attraction that has been closed for months while Disneyland prepared for the return of the “Fantasmic” nighttime spectacular is set to return in a few weeks after a seasonal refurbishment.

The Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland is scheduled to return from refurbishment in early July, according to Disneyland officials.

Pirates of the Caribbean could return as soon as July 1, according to the Disneyland website.

The New Orleans Square attraction will be closed for a seasonal refurbishment through June 30, according to the Disneyland website. The park’s website shows no operating hours for Pirates of the Caribbean through July 18 — the last date available on the calendar.

Pirates of the Caribbean closed in mid-March as Disneyland began widening walkways in New Orleans Square along the Rivers of America in preparation for the return of “Fantasmic.”

The New Orleans Square walkway work was completed in time for the return of “Fantasmic” on May 28 after a two-year pandemic hiatus.

Changes to the Pirates of the Caribbean queue route will help traffic flow around the attraction and New Orleans Square. The extended queue that ran along the waterfront walkway will be modified and flow into a separate area when the attraction returns.

The removal of the tree stump entrance for Tarzan’s Treehouse next to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction queue should help with traffic flow in the chronically crowded area of Disneyland.

The Blue Bayou restaurant has soft opened with walk-up reservations after a refurbishment timed to the closure of Pirates of the Caribbean. The fine dining restaurant’s famed bayou views remain obstructed by construction walls while work continues on the attached attraction.
