During the 1990s Disneyland featured a series of temporary parades celebrating the numerous popular new animated films released by Disney during the period. The final of these parades would be an elaborate night parade themed based on Mulan.

Parade, showcasing beloved Disney characters in dazzling parade scenes illuminated with more than 1.5 million individually controlled lights - the first all-LED parade in Disneyland Resort history. The luminescent parade introduces a new era of magical entertainment, as Mickey Mouse uses his imagination to harness the power of Tinker Bell's pixie dust to "Paint the Night" in dazzling Disney dreams. Those dreams include special appearances by Mickey's pals and beloved characters from tales such as "Monsters, Inc.," "Cars," "The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast," "Toy Story" and MORE

A dazzling, all-LED nighttime spectacular known for its vibrant floats, performers, and music, featuring characters from Frozen, Cars, Toy Story, and more, with a special return for Disneyland's 70th Anniversary in 2025 , celebrating with classic Disney tunes and Owl City's "When Can I See You Again?"

See some favorite Disney characters together in one majestic parade

On his toy drum Mickey Mouse beats out a Christmas salute. Donald Duck is in the driver's seat and the Big Bad wolf close behind. Some 60 Disney characters plus 100 Marching toys marching units, bands, dancers and singers are included in the parade. The “Parade Of The Toys” also will be a daily Disneyland feature throughout the yule season from December 23 through December 31.

Disney's version of Mardi Gras in New Orleans this parade featured large floats stilt-walkers dancers and performers who would toss special Party Gras coins and strings of beads out to the guests. The parade would stop at intervals and a special performance would be given.

The parade kicks off with the famous Pixar lamp, characters from “Up” and “Inside Out” will make appearances, as well.

The parade included Mickey and Friends, various Irish folk groups from the "Emerald Isle," and specific character, themed performances.

Promotion included a parade, carnival booths with games, State Fair foods and several shows. Fair foods included single slices of delicious fresh baked apple and berry pie, BBQ turkey legs, Buffalo Chili (made from real buffalo meat), cotton candy and fresh popped popcorn. Carnival and game booths were located in the hub featuring games of chance.

Minnie Mouse was given her due updated with 1980's fashions and a rockin' theme song in this parade with over 100 performers.
