Bluey Fancy Snacks Are Surprisingly Good

I’ll be honest. When I first heard about the Bluey-themed snacks at Troubadour Tavern in Disneyland, I expected them to be cute.

You know the type. Bright colors, fun presentation, maybe a clever name or two, but not necessarily something you’d go out of your way to eat. Boy, was I wrong.

We tried everything on the menu, and not one item felt like it was there just to look good for social media. These were legitimately good dishes that I would order again without a second thought.

Bluey Fancy Snacks at Disneyland Are Surprisingly Good blueys-best-day-ever-pizza-girls-baked-potato Pizza Girls Baked Potato Pizza Girls Baked Potato: Pepperoni, Sausage, Bacon Bits, Marinara, Mozzarella, Alfredo Sauce and Parmesan Herb Topper $12.29

The standout for me was the Pizza Girls Baked Potato. This thing is not a snack. It’s a full-on meal. It’s loaded, hearty, and somehow hits that perfect balance between comfort food and something a little more fun. I kept going back for another bite even when I was already full, which is always the sign that Disney got something right, and I didn’t even finish half of it.

But what surprised me most was that it wasn’t just one strong item carrying the menu.

The Troubadour Baked Potato: Butter, Sour Cream, Cheese, Bacon Bits, and Green Onions $9.29

Everything else we tried held its own. The flavors were thoughtful, the portions were solid, and nothing felt like an afterthought. That’s not always the case with themed offerings, where one item shines and the rest feel like filler. Here, it actually felt like a well-rounded menu.

Poffertjes! Poffertjes!: Mini Dutch Pancakes topped with Buttered Condensed Milk and Powdered Sugar $7.99

And if you’re familiar with Bluey, there’s an extra layer of appreciation. These items aren’t just random. They’re pulled straight from moments in the show, which makes the whole experience feel a little more special for families who know those references.

Magic “Asparagus” Pretzel: Pretzel Rod covered in White Chocolate $3.99

Even as someone who didn’t go in with a deep connection to Bluey, I could still feel how much joy this brought to the kids around us. There was a lot of excitement, a lot of pointing at the menu, and a lot of “that’s from the show!” moments happening at nearby seats. That’s where this really works.

Mini All-Beef Hot Dog: served with a Cuties Mandarin Orange, Applesauce, and choice of small DASANI Water or small Lowfat Milk $5.99

Pavlova Parfait: Meringue Bites, Vanilla Yogurt Mousse, Berry Compote, Vanilla Cake, Fresh Berries and Candied Kiwi $7.99

It’s fun for kids, sure. But the food itself is good enough that adults won’t feel like they’re sacrificing anything just to go along with it.

And that’s kind of the sweet spot for something like this.

Watermelon Ice Block $5.79

Lime Ice Block Drink: Pineapple Limeade with Coconut Milk and Watermelon Ice Block $10.79

Mud Cake Cold Brew: Joffrey’s Coffee French Roast Cold Brew with Malted Milk Topper, Fudge Brownie Bits, and Sprinkles $7.79

If Disney keeps delivering themed menus that actually taste as good as they look, I’m all in.
