Disneyland launched a little something extra for its annual passholders on Monday with AP Days.

The event, which takes place the entire month of February, will give annual passholders some special treats and things to see and do, especially since several of the more popular attractions are closed for refurbishment.

Each week of of AP Days in February will have a theme, with the first week called "Main Street to Mickey Mouse."

AP Days are for the resort's annual passholders only, and are designed to give them "a celebration dedicated to annual passholders" during their visits to the Disneyland Resort's theme parks this month.

Those things include special screenings of classic cartoons, along with free popcorn and water. Additionally, the park is handing out special buttons to pass holders, while supplies last, along with recipes for some of Walt Disney's favorite foods, like his chili and beans and Lemon Chiffon Pie, called Chris' Cold Pie.

The events for the first week are on Stage 17 and at the Blue Sky Cellar in Disney California Adventure.

Construction walls blocking the views of the Rivers of America and the Big Thunder Trail at Disneyland got taller, so visitors will not be able to see much of the construction related to the addition of "Star Wars" Land to the park.

Some initial progress on the new land can be seen in the distance from the Mickey & Friends Parking garage.

Other closures continue at both parks, including It's a Small World, Autopia, Hyperion Theater and the Jungle Cruise. Though the skippers from the Jungle Cruise are out in front of the entrance to the classic attraction offering a land-based tour of the jungle, using props like stuffed animals and more to spin their pun-ladened spiel.

They are also hosting a "Skipper School" for those who want to learn how to be a dry land skipper, and maybe even learn a few of the jokes.

Inside Disney California Adventure, testing is continuing for the new attraction replacing Luigi's Flying Tires. The name for the new attraction is "Rollickin' Roadsters."

Soarin' is also closed during the week, so that Imagineers can program a new show. "Soarin' Over California" still plays on the weekends.
