The Jack O'Lanterns have taken over Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland as the Halloween season is in full force. But along with Halloween comes the other major part of autumn at Disneyland, refurbishments.

Scrims were up on a variety of shops and attractions throughout the parks and Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort.

Even the Downtown Disney parking area was getting a fresh look, as park employees gave parts of it a fresh coat of slurry seal.

At Disney California Adventure, Sebastian was taking a break from being under the sea as The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure was closed for refurbishment. Goofy's Sky Coaster was also closed.

After removing the dome and the Hollywood Tower Hotel sign from the Tower of Terror, no additional work was done on that structure, as it awaits its final day of dropping people down the elevator on January 2, 2017. After that, it will close for the changeover to Guardians of the Galaxy, Mission: Breakout.

At Disneyland, painters were at work on a number of facades in every land, giving them fresh coats of paint and more. The Halloween season also meant that Ghost Galaxy has taken over Space Mountain, with the Star Wars-based Hyperspace Mountain off planet for a while.

The Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay based on "The Nightmare Before Christmas" was busy gently scaring visitors to the classic Disneyland attraction, while workers were pouring over Tom Sawyer Island during its long "Star Wars" land related closure.

Speaking of "Star Wars" land, more concrete walls were rising up out of the ground around what will be the new course for the Rivers of America in Frontierland.

Several cranes could be seen from Frontierland and Fantasyland working on the construction activities in that area.

Finally, Halloween decorations have appeared in the lobby of the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for the season.
