FALSE: The clock tower in the “Cinderella” sequence of the parade is the tallest float at 18½ feet. Elliot measures 16 feet tall.

2. The Super Hero-themed land coming to Disney California Adventure park will be called Avengers Campus.

TRUE: Guests can suit up alongside their favorite Super Heroes beginning in 2020.

3. Tom Sawyer Island opened to guests in 1955 with Disneyland park.

FALSE: The island opened a year later, with a fishing area!

4. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was named one of TIME Magazine’s “World’s Greatest Places.”

TRUE: The annual list recognizes destinations around the world that are breaking new ground, leading industry trends and offering guests an experience that’s unlike any other.

5. The Headless Horseman statue on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure park is 8 feet tall.

FALSE: The statue stands 10 feet tall!

TRUE: A vintage Dumbo ride vehicle was even donated to the Smithsonian Museum for display to the public.

7. The tallest spire on Space Mountain is taller than the Disneyland Matterhorn.

FALSE: While they both rise more than 100 feet from the ground, the Disneyland Matterhorn is 30 feet taller, at 147 feet. Guests can ride Hyperspace Mountain for a limited time.

8. The Disneyland Monorail goes through the Disneyland Hotel.

FALSE: The Disneyland Monorail stops near the Disneyland Hotel, but does not go through it. The monorail does go through Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

9. The lyrics to well-known Disney songs “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life for Me)” and “Grim Grinning Ghosts” were written by the same Disney Imagineer.

TRUE: Disney Legend X Atencio wrote these songs for the Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion attractions, respectively.
