Disneyland will extend the expiration dates for passholders who have annual passes that are valid during the coronavirus closure period stretching through the end of March.

“Given the necessary closure, all Annual Passholders who have Passports that are valid during the closure period, will have their Passport expiration date extended based on pass type and level of access due to the impacts of the closure,” Disneyland said in a statement issued to annual passholders.

The update from Disneyland was sent to annual passholders by email and through the park’s mobile app and website.

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will be closed March 14-31. No announcement has been made yet about extending the closure into April.

Before the reopening of the parks, passholders will find out the new expiration date on their annual passes based on their pass type and level of access.

“The extended date will be reflected on your Passport account prior to our reopening of the parks,” the statement said.

Passholders on the monthly payment plan will continue to make their scheduled payments and will not be required to make any payments during that extended period.

“Annual Passholders on the monthly payment program will remain on the current payment schedule and continue to make their scheduled payments,” the statement said. “These Annual Passholders will have their Passport expiration date extended based on pass type and level of access due to the impacts of the closure and will not be required to make any payments during that extended period.” For Disney Flex passholders, Disneyland will cancel reservations during the closure period without penalty. Flex passholders need to make advance reservations to get into Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on busy days.
