Visiting Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort is a memorable experience for people of all ages. The incredible Parks and Resorts on these properties offer a plethora of attractions and offerings to enthrall Guests. However, amidst the magic and excitement, there is a growing concern among both Disney enthusiasts and Park officials: bad Guest behavior.

PSA: Don’t Be That Guy

The Disney Parks are home to an array of iconic and thrilling rides that transport Guests into fantastical worlds. From the spooky atmosphere of the Haunted Mansion to the futuristic Tron Lightcycle/Run, there are so many experiences that capture the essence of Disney Parks. Unfortunately, it seems that some Guests are more interested in capturing the perfect photograph rather than fully immersing themselves in the Disney experience.

We get it- Disney is cool to look at. When you invest thousands of dollars towards a Disney vacation, you want to be sure to soak up every last second of it. There is nothing wrong with wanting to take some pictures of your favorite rides and attractions. However, there is a line that shouldn’t be crossed.

Enough With the Flash!

There is nothing more irritating than waiting hours in line for an attraction just to have a Guest be filming with their phone’s flash on the entire time. Unfortunately, flash photography on popular rides is becoming all too common at Disney, especially with the growing popularity of social media ‘Disney streamers.”

Firstly, it detracts from the immersive storytelling and theme of the ride. For instance, in dark rides like Space Mountain or Pirates of the Caribbean, the sudden burst of light disrupts the carefully crafted ambiance and can ruin the intended atmosphere. It also affects the experience of other Guests who want to enjoy the attraction without distractions.

It’s understandable that you want to capture your theme Park vacation…but please… do not be this kind of person!
