In 1952, This Is Cinerama introduced American audiences to multiple screen movies within a few years major motion pictures were utilizing the Cinerama, 3 screen projection system. An impressed Walt Disney decided he would go Cinerama one better at Disneyland soon Disney legend John Hench was drawing up a concept illustration with Grand Canyon images displayed in the round.The original camera was mounted on an AMC car to shoot the footage.This opening day Disneyland attraction featured a film entitled Tour of the West
