From Steve Birnbaum brings you the best of Disneyland 1982:
This lace-curtained, log-walled, woodsy-looking emporium is the Disneyland source for the hand- spun and the homemade. Buyers comb the Appalachian countryside and other rural quarters for many of the wares: carvings and calico sunbonnets, tote bags that would be perfect for carrying diapers, throw pillows and quilts, tea towels and potholders, spice racks, carvings, apple-head dolls and corn husk dolls and a whole assortment of other poppets, including some in pigtails and sailor outfits. Among the more unusual items on display are the pins and cufflinks and other jewelry made of Black Hills gold, which, because of the copper and zinc mixed into the metal, has sections tinged with green and pink. Decoys carved in California, Minnesota, and Maryland are also available, at $150 to $250, as are far less expensive toy rifles, Big Al dolls and mugs and cookie jars, and the like. There's also a good selection of piano rolls, plus the world's ultimate teddy bear-a $1,200 stuffed bruin. The store is a good place to buy film, too.
