Disney Parks Single Day Tickets Cost More Than Ever While Holiday Prices Are Expected To Soar Even Higher

The magic of Disney is making your money disappear.

Walt Disney World in Orlando has revealed ticket prices through October 2027, with a one-day park ticket costing up to $219 per person.

The steep price applies to tickets for next year’s President’s Day Weekend and marks a new record for Disney World tickets.

But brace yourself, Mouseketeers, you may need even more cheddar to afford tickets during Thanksgiving or Christmas of 2K27, as November and December prices have yet to be released and have historically coincided with the park’s most expensive admissions.

This year, peak ticket prices reached $209 per person.

Ticket costs fluctuate depending on date and park. The Magic Kingdom, where dreams are made, and Cinderella’s castle stands sentinel, typically demands the highest ticket prices, while the Animal Kingdom is the least expensive, followed by Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

On the West Coast, single-day admission to Disneyland has already reached a decidedly un-magical $224.

The California theme park has yet to unveil its 2027 ticket prices, but fans speculate they’ll be higher than those at its Floridian counterpart.

The Walt Disney Company hiked prices in Oct. 2025, with significant increases for both the day pass and the annual pass. The Inspire Key, its top-tier annual pass, rose by $150 to $1,899, and the Believe Key, the second-highest-tier pass, increased by $100 to $1,474.

These latest figures come as Disney is trying to coax visitors to its parks through strategic discounts.

During the summer months (typically the hottest and least-visited), Disney is offering a 30 percent discount on hotel rooms, a kids-eat-free dining plan, and a substantial discount on 4-day park tickets.

However, these discounts come with stripped-back perks.

The line-skipping blessing that is the ‘Fastpass’ used to be included in a hotel stay for those who booked a Disney property, a major perk that made the high nightly rate justifiable for many.

However, the park has eschewed the Fastpass for Lightning Lanes, a costly add-on that allows guests to skip the conventional line and stand on a separate, shorter line to access rides and attractions throughout the park.

The most appealing of the Lightning Lanes options, the Premier Pass allows guests to skip standby lines for every eligible attraction in a park once per day, without making a reservation in advance.

The price of this privilege? Close to $500 per person.

Meanwhile, at Disneyland, hotel guests had long enjoyed a 30-minute Lightning Lane head start before the gates officially opened.

The short window was a huge draw for fans who enjoyed free rein of the park before long lines set in. It was widely seen as a major incentive for guests to book stays at pricey on-site hotels instead of more affordable options elsewhere.

Instead of early entry, Disney is providing hotel guests with one Lightning Lane entry to a Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction if they stay at one of their three hotels: the Disneyland Hotel, The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and the Pixar Place Hotel.

Some fans are skipping a visit in 2026 as several of Walt Disney World’s signature parks are under construction… and facing scathing criticism.

Amid news that Animal Kingdom was shuttering Restaurantosaurus, the flagship restaurant of the now extinct, pun intended, DinoLand U.S.A, fans had feelings.

“I will never visit Animal Kingdom again. This is quite honestly Disney’s biggest mistake in a long line of park mistakes they’ve been making lately,” one user on Reddit said.

In 2027, a new concept, Tropical Americas, will launch in Animal Kingdom, featuring attractions such as an Encanto ride and an Indiana Jones experience.
