Woman Dies After Riding Haunted Mansion Suffered Apparent Medical Episode

Posted: October 14, 2025

A woman died this week in an apparent medical episode at Disneyland after she got on the Haunted Mansion ride, a spokesperson for the city of Anaheim, California, said. “This appears to be an unfortunate medical episode, and our thoughts go out [to] the family,” the spokesperson said. Anaheim Fire and Rescue responded to Disneyland around 6:30 p.m. Monday for a report of an unresponsive woman in her 60s. When rescue personnel arrived,

Where To Eat Based On Your Favorite Disney Movie

Posted: October 14, 2025

Between the glittering castle, fairytale characters, and scenes straight out of your favorite stories, Disneyland might just be the most magical destination in the world. I've been here more times than I can count, and it somehow gets better each time. The food also gets better, and I love how much sensorial value it contributes. Many people have a difficult time deciding where to eat when they visit the park. For the fully immersive experience, I

Top Six Wastes Of Time

1. Davy Crockett 's Explorer Canoes (Disneyland Park) You knew this one was coming first. Who exactly is doing this? You paid a premium to get into the park, and now you 're rowing your own boat like you 're auditioning for Survivor? It 's cardio dressed up as entertainment, and you don 't even get the dignity of a FastPass. The only thing you 're exploring here is the limits of your upper-body strength and how far you can waste that very expensive

Jungle Cruise Skippers Memorize 600 Dad Jokes

Posted: October 14, 2025

The Jungle Cruise boat ride that debuted in 1955 at Disneyland has seen the script used by the skippers change and evolve over the decades to introduce jokes about angry hippos, leaping tigers and the backside of water as the attraction has been updated and refreshed. Jungle Cruise skippers memorize hundreds of “corny dad jokes” for use in the Disneyland attraction spiel, according to “The Happiest Story on Earth” special on ABC 's “20/20” newsmagazine

Disneyland To Add Tangled Scene To Classic Ride

Posted: October 14, 2025

One of Disneyland 's original attractions is getting a touch of new magic, as the park prepares to add a scene from “Tangled” to the Storybook Land Canal Boats in Fantasyland. A miniature version of Rapunzel 's tower will be added to the attraction, standing tall above a grassy area filled with flowers and boulders between the Patchwork Quilt and Toad Hall scenes. Mini wanted posters for Flynn Rider will be spotted along the stone wall,

Disneyland Just Raised Its Ticket Prices In The Middle Of The Night

Posted: October 14, 2025

The Disneyland Resort has raised prices on most single day, single park tickets, with its prices for its top two Magic Key annual passes also increasing. The resort has also announced a new California three-day ticket deal, with tickets as low as $83 per day for visits in the early part of 2026. The cost to experience the Happiest Place on Earth continues to rise as the Disneyland Resort unveiled its annual price increases for the

Disneyland Feature Used Only Twice In Its History Still Works Employee Confirms

Posted: October 14, 2025

A Disneyland feature that has only been used twice in its 70-year history still functions, a Disney employee recently confirmed, raising hopes the castle 's drawbridge could be deployed again someday. Earlier this month, several Imagineers, Disney 's term for its engineering and creative employees, hosted a panel called “Beyond the Spires: An Insider Look at Disney Castles.” The panel, which was part of the company 's annual D23 convention, delved

Why There Is A No Fly Zone Over Disneyland

Posted: October 2, 2025

If you have frequented Disneyland in Anaheim, California, you may have noticed that the skies are always clear we don't just mean nice weather, we mean not even a single drone. That's because Disneyland is currently a no-fly zone, like Disney World in Orlando, Florida, that prevents flights within a specific area above the park. Contrary to popular belief, this isn't because of the nightly fireworks or even to protect Mickey from paparazzi.

Record Breaking Performer Who Once Lived Inside Disneyland

Posted: October 2, 2025

In the days before Disneyland 's official opening, Walt Disney held a private party at the Golden Horseshoe, the Old West-themed restaurant in Frontierland. Called the “Tempus Fugit Celebration,” the 300-person event had two functions: to toast Walt and Lillian Disney 's 30th wedding anniversary and to kick off the festivities surrounding the July 17, 1955, grand opening of the world 's first truly immersive theme park. The July 13, 1955, party was

Only 1 Percent Of Employees Get A Highly Coveted Blue Nametag

Posted: October 2, 2025

It 's a completely anonymous, global program across Disney 's theme parks. Cast members (Disneyspeak for employees) nominate each other and submit testimonies, with tens of thousands of nominations globally. The identity of nominees is kept under wraps, and it all culminates in a secret ballot. This is the voting process for one of Disney 's highest honors, one that goes to fewer than 1% of park employees. It 's the Walt Disney Legacy Award, the

Deemed the ''Happiest Place on Earth'' Disneyland sadly didn't live up to that billing for same-sex couples during its first three decades. Opened in 1955 by the late Walt Disney, the family-oriented amusement park was built on a former orange orchard in Anaheim, California. Two years later, with it launching ''date nights'' that featured dancing under the stars to lure local Orange County couples, especially teenagers, on

Talk to any citizen about Disneyland park and his eyes light up like a sincere neon sign. Walt Disney is the No. 1 Californian and it didn't require an official proclamation by the Governor last week to make him so. Disneyland unexpectedly lifted its 28-year ban prohibiting same-sex dancing last week, but the gay man who challenged the rule in 1980 is still in the courts. Disney officials are attempting to get a reversal of the May 1984 ruling by Superior Court Judge James Ross that Exler and his friend, Shawn Elliott, could dance together at the Anaheim amusement park. A jury had decided 11-1 in their favor. However, the judge said the order applied only to the two

If anyone in America is unaware that Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., opened its gates a few weeks ago, that person hasn't read a newspaper or heard a radio or TV newscast. In short, he has been playing ostrich. Faithful readers know, too, of the disillusionment on the part of many guests on opening day. Crowds, heat, incompleted attractions and a big network TV show combined to make the first day an uncertain one, with the result that tourists and
