he new pack mules through Nature's Wonderland attraction open on June 10th 1960 and cost an "E" ticket to board and included a cool display of dinosaur fossils along the journey.The ride operated from a Frontierland loading area. That sent guests and their little mules clomping along dusty wilderness trails with the rowdier Stagecoach and Conestoga Wagons often in sight.Usually 9 mules at a time were strung together in a long line headed by a cowboy costumed cast member on a lead horse. Kids were the target audience younger lighter children were belted to their saddles. The mules were kept at night in the parks Pony Farm.The attraction didn't change much until the pack mules finally packed up in early 1973.By then there were many stories of problems along the trail mules have been startled by the sudden train noises, boat whistles and other surrounding Frontierland sounds the animals had sometimes nipped guests and occasionally they stopped in their tracks all together turning a 10-minute ride into a frustrating ordeal.

Remains in the "E" category even though the price is increased to 75¢ because it is one of the highest expense attractions in the park in relation to income. The queue is one of the longest in the park during the summer. Therefore, the increase in price should help increase income and cut down the wait time. Also, any increase in income would be applied towards the overall Pony Farm operation.
