Monorail riders have another seating option with a different point of view for the first time in four years during the 13-minute round-trip journey on one of the longer rides at Disneyland.

Disneyland Monorail riders can sit in the nose cone section with the driver for the first time since the Anaheim theme park closed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to WDW News Today.

The nose cone rider option returned over the weekend along with the Monorail following a monthlong refurbishment.

The Monorail’s front seats provide a unique point of view as the ride moves between the Tomorrowland to Downtown Disney stations.

Passengers also get a peek at the control panel that includes a monitor with live feeds of the Monorail exterior.

The Monorail pilot chats with riders and answers questions during the 2.5-mile round-trip journey, according to WDW News Today.

“There is no separate line for the front cabin of the Monorail,” according to WDW News Today. “If you’d like to ride in the section and it fills up, you can simply ask the cast members if you can hang back and wait for the next ride.”

The Monorail’s back cabin, which also closed to passengers following the pandemic, remains inaccessible to riders.
