Disneyland’s “It’s A Small World” ride is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday with new additions following an extended refurbishment.

During the Mexico section of the dark water ride, guests will soon be able to spot Miguel and his trusted alebrije, Dante, from Pixar’s “Coco.”

“The Happiest Place on Earth” will also pay homage to the Sherman Brothers, a songwriting duo who often collaborated with Walt Disney.

The duo wrote the catchy tune for “It’s A Small World.”

In honor of the song’s upcoming 60th anniversary, Disneyland will add the third and final verse to the “It’s A Small World” attraction beginning on July 17.

The Sherman Brothers also wrote popular songs like “The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room” for Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “A Spoonful of Sugar” for the film “Mary Poppins,” and “I Wan’na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)” for the animated movie “The Jungle Book.”

Additionally, the new nighttime projection show, “Tapestry of Happiness,” will animate the facade of “It’s A Small World,” blending iconic Disneyland attractions and music in a tribute to the park’s history beginning on May 16.

The new additions come as the resort gears up to celebrate its 70th anniversary beginning on Friday. The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will run throughout summer 2026.
