This 3D movie was shown in the Magic Eye Theater. This 3D musical science fiction film stars Michael Jackson as Captain Eo. Eo and his crew of mythical space creatures encounter a colorless planet ruled by a Supreme Leader. Using the power of music, dance, and light, Eo's team transforms the desolate planet into a magical, colorful world.

George Lucas was executive producer and Francis Ford Coppola was director.
Set Designer was John Napier. Special Effects were done by Industrial Light And Magic Company.
Captain EO rips open his jacket to expose the rainbow, but the next time they look at him the jacket is closed again.
Captain EO's first dance number, the one where all the transformed monsters gather into a big dance formation, one of the dancers messes up on the routine. He spins in place while everyone else is bent at the waist.
When Captain EO is running away from the Whip Warriors and runs to the gate, it actually lifts up a couple of inches from the impact of Michael Jackson.
Before Captain EO and his crew setup to perform for the Evil Queen, the Golden furball creature is perched on EO's left shoulder. During three brief glimpses, you can see the puppeteer holding the critter on Jackson's shoulder. (You can see just his arm and the top of his head).
Mylar balloons are not allowed in the theater due to the lasers bouncing off of them.
The name of the little furry flying long-tailed creature is Fuzzball
To celebrate the premiere at Disneyland, the park remained open for 36 hours continually and attendees received a souvenier t-shirt.
External effects inside Magic Eye Theater included lasers shot over audience members' heads and smoke and stars in the ceiling and walls.
The late, Dick Shawn played Captain EO's commander, who only appears in shakey, holographic form at the beginning of the film.
