Even though I love a summer trip to Disneyland, I’d be lying if I said the heat doesn’t change the experience. Though the weather isn’t quite as volatile in Anaheim as it is in Orlando, there are some aspects of this time of year that change how I arrange my Disney days. One thing I always notice is that I am less interested in eating my usual Disney snacks. I know, it’s insanity! But there is something about the heat that makes me feel less inclined to grab my usual churro and refuel on the go. Not even a Mickey ice cream sandwich can tempt me during the middle of the day.

So, I like to keep it light, with a more substantial breakfast than usual and a few drinks until dinner. Aside from all the water I enjoy, a special drink can often tempt me in the summer months, when I’ll prefer to indulge in a cool, refreshing beverage than food that sits more heavily in my stomach.
