Smugglers, bounty hunters and intergalactic travelers bound for Batuu will soon be able to sip Fuzzy Tauntauns, Jedi Mind Tricks and Dagobah Slug Slingers at Oga’s Cantina in Disneyland after a 15-month coronavirus closure of the Galaxy’s Edge hive of scum and villainy.

UPDATED: Disneyland announces reopening dates for more restaurants and food stands — including a fan favorite treat.

Oga’s Cantina and 10 other restaurants and bars in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are set to reopen for the first time since being shuttered in March 2020 by the COVID-19 pandemic. Disneyland and DCA reopened on April 30 after the yearlong coronavirus closure along with just over half the park’s 70+ food and beverage locations.

The June 17 reopening dates for the returning Disneyland and DCA eateries suggest the Anaheim theme parks are preparing to ramp up attendance capacity now that state COVID-19 restrictions have come to an end.

Disneyland and DCA have a long way to go before they reach full operations with nearly 20 food and beverage locations still closed and more than two dozen attractions also remaining shuttered.

The return of Oga’s Cantina and Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo on June 17 will bring more food and drink options to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — which had been relying on the already reopened Ronto Roasters and Blue Milk Stand. Online reservations for Oga’s Cantina will be available Monday, June 14.

Kat Saka’s Kettle popcorn stand remains the only eatery still closed on the Star Wars planet of Batuu, the setting for the 14-acre Galaxy’s Edge themed land.

Tomorrowland dining options will double with the June 17 return of Alien Pizza Planet, which joins the already reopened Galactic Grill.

Reopening Rancho del Zocalo on June 17 will boost the eatery options in Frontierland — where River Belle Terrace and Stage Door Cafe have already returned, but the Golden Horseshoe remains closed.

Two more Fantasyland food stands will return on June 24 — Edelweiss Snacks and Maurice’s Treats.

Satisfying your Dole Whip cravings will also get easier with the June 17 return of the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland, taking some pressure off the already reopened Tropical Hideaway.

Over in DCA, Wine Country Trattoria and Mendocino Terrace will return June 17. The already reopened Lamplight Lounge restaurant and bar will offer weekend brunch starting July 9 with online reservations available June 14.

Bayside Brews will be back on June 17 and the always popular Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums will return on June 24.

Docking Bay 7, Alien Pizza Planet, Edelweiss Snacks, Bayside Brews and Tiki Juice Bar will strongly encourage mobile ordering — meaning walk-up orders will be strongly discouraged.

More than 30 of the 70+ food and beverage locations at Disneyland and DCA remained closed when the parks reopened April 30 following a 412-day coronavirus closure.

Disneyland brought back a few favorites in May — including the boozier Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square, DCA’s passholder-exclusive Alfresco Tasting Terrace and Napa Rose and Storyteller Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel.
