Disneyland will offer two ways to get on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure when the new water ride officially opens to the general public either by joining the free virtual queue or by paying for the Lightning Lane line-cutting service.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will use a virtual queue when the attraction opens at Disneyland on Nov. 15, according to Disneyland officials.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be added to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Premier Pass beginning on Nov. 15, according to Disneyland officials.
Disneyland will not offer a standby queue during the initial opening days of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
The free virtual queue now in use during annual passholder previews will be accessible via the Disneyland app. A smartphone notification will alert you when your boarding group is called. You can only get in the virtual queue once a day.
Disneyland visitors will have two chances a day to join the virtual queue at 7 a.m. before the park opens and again at noon. You’ll need to have already entered Disneyland to join the noon queue.
Expect both batches of virtual queue slots to disappear in seconds each day during the initial opening of the new attraction.
Touring Plans expects Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to have an hourly capacity of 1,300 to 1,400 riders during regular operation when the new attraction debuts at Disneyland with a theoretical maximum of 1,600 riders per hour.
Disneyland is promoting “quicker entry” to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure by using the paid Lightning Lane front-of-the-line service that lets users book an arrival window.
Starting on Nov. 15, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be part of the $32 Lightning Lane Multi Pass and the $400 Lightning Lane Premier Pass, but will not be offered as a $16 to $28 individual Lightning Lane Single Pass option.
Disneyland Magic Key previews for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are taking place now on select dates through Nov. 12 before the new attraction opens to the general public on Nov. 15.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure tells an extension of the “Princess and the Frog” story that picks up after the final kiss between Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen. The new backstory for Splash Mountain follows Tiana and Louis the trumpet-playing alligator as they prepare for their first Mardi Gras performance.
