Has hundreds of beautiful dolls and Disney character toys plus games, books and puzzles.
From Steve Birnbaum brings you the best of Disneyland 1982:
This wonderland installed at the western end of Sleeping Beauty Castle is Disneyland's main stop for serious toy shopping. Although plans for the new Fantasyland call for some changes here, there'll surely be a place for this shop's wonderful wares in the new scheme of things. Youngsters who have some vacation money burning a hole in their pockets will go for the inexpensive souvenirs-perhaps bars of soap in the shape of Snow White or the Seven Dwarfs. Fond grandparents will relish the children's clothing-red-and-white, polka-dotted Minnie dresses and pale blue pinafored Alice-in-Wonderland dresses for little girls, and pint-size jogging suits and overalls for little boys. Older children may be able to prevail on a parent to plunk down a few dollars for stuffed animals representing O'Malley, Berlioz, Duchess, and Marie from the Aristocats, Elliott from Pete's Dragon, Lady, Tramp, Chip and Dale, Donald Duck, and assorted other bears, donkeys, and monkeys from outside Disney's world. Books, records, tapes, paint-by-number sets, games, and the like complete the offerings. The selection of dolls is particularly good: There are dancing clown dolls and violet-eyed Pierrots with china heads, all very expensive; dolls representing Heidi, Hansel, Gretel, Mother Goose, and other fairy-tale figures; baby dolls; and more. Be sure to take a look at the miniature cars near the south entrance. Some are powered by steam produced by water heated in a boiler with solid fuel pellets. Made in England, they have reverse gears and can be steered from a distance using a long extension pole that comes with the car. Or you might buy (for $395) a replica of the first locomotive ever built for passenger service, an 1820 model that ran on the Liverpool and Manchester Railroad. The same section of the store also sells toy soldiers, Matchbox cars, remote-control vehicles, wonderfully detailed miniature motorcycles, and such.
