While other Tomorrowland exhibits have pointed to the future the American Space Experience celebrated the recent past specifically the last 40 Years of NASA's achievement in outer space. Opened in 1998 along with new attractions in the remodeled Tomorrowland this educational walk-through exhibit shared with Rocket Rods the large building just inside the Tomorrowland entrance that had formerly housed the Circarama Theater.Because the space exhibit was sponsored by NASA displays including an actual moon rock, Hubble Space telescope photos, Apollo space suit and a live TV feed that showed NASA launches a scale that revealed weights on other planets, models of future rockets and a look at a bizarre space-age material called Aerogel were among the other displays that made this a fun and fascinating destination.
