Little patch of heaven was added to the Big Thunder Ranch in 2004. Referencing the 2004 animated movie Home On The Range the log cabin named Pearls Cottage after one of the movie's character's began offering crafts and fun to visitors. Within 2 years however, Little Patch of Heaven disappeared and Pearls name was removed from the cabin.The living stand-in for bovine star "Maggie," belonged to Bixler Farms owner David Bixler, who happened to have a set of twin 10-month-old heifers on hand and was willing to sell one for $500.
