Walt Disney's prefered breakfast spot
From Disney University Food Showmanship Disney Style 1973:
The old plantation house serves as the setting for the River Belle Terrace, offering unusual pancake and waffle treats.
From Steve Birnbaum brings you the best of Disneyland 1982:
Walt Disney himself used to breakfast here beside the Rivers of America most Sunday mornings. The terrace offers one of the best views of the activity on the Rivers of America and of the passing throng, and the food is hearty and wholesome. Breakfast is served all day-regular stacks and short stacks of pancakes or waffles, topped with strawberries, blueberries, cinnamon-flavored cooked apples, or ollalieberries (which are a little like boysenberries), or eggs in any style with pancakes, bacon, sausage, or ham as you wish. This is the only buffeteria in the park that serves breakfast cooked to order. After 11:30 A.M., a selection of sandwiches, salads, and other stuff-chicken salad with alfalfa sprouts on granola bread; bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwiches; grilled cheese sandwiches; grilled steak; franks; and omelets are added to the menu. And after 5. P.M., there are dinner entrées as well-baked chicken with barbecue sauce, pork spare ribs, spaghetti with sausage links. Children's portions of some of these items are available, but among the fare fixed specially for the younger set, the prize goes to the Mickey Mouse pancakes a large flapjack for the face, two silver-dollar-sized pancakes for the ears, a curve of pineapple for the mouth, a maraschino cherry for the nose, and two blueberries as eyes. With its many mirrors, ornamental pillars, green terrazzo floor, and pale pink walls, it's as delightful to eat inside this restaurant as it is to dine outside. A pleasure.
