Nearly all the plant life has been removed from the northwest section of Disneyland's famous berm, as work crews continued to prepare the area for the launch of construction of "Star Wars" land in April.

The coffer dams are in place on the Rivers of America in Frontierland, but no water has been drained to allow the crews to slightly re-route the river for the same reason.

The wild mallard ducks that frequent the area were searching out new locations for their spring egg-laying and duckling hatching season.

The Disneyland Resort launched its annual spring Easter "Egg-stravaganza" egg search throughout the resort. Visitors could purchase maps, find the eggs and put stickers on the map indicating where they were seen, then redeem the map for a special prize.

Elsewhere, the Toons are still working on repainting the buildings in Mickey's Toontown, but the Indiana Jones Adventure, Temple of the Forbidden Eye has already re-opened after a short refurbishment.

More signs and displays have been installed at the Main Street Station of the Disneyland Railroad, turning it into an exhibit space about Disney's steam trains while the attraction remains closed to rail operations until well into 2017 while its tracks get a slightly new routing in the Frontierland area for the addition of "Star Wars" land.

Over at Disney California Adventure, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters opened Monday to good lines, and good reviews.

Grizzly River Run is still closed for its annual refurbishment, and Wandering Oaken's shop has wandered off, replaced by the Studio Store in Hollywood Land.

Downtown Disney was the site for an announcement about the 2017 P&G Gymnastics Championship, which will be held in Anaheim at the nearby Honda Center.
