There is so much excitement and chatter about the new Star Wars-themed land opening at the Disneyland Resort in 2019, it sometimes seems like people have forgotten all about the classics that made Disney what it is.

But fear not, with the new live-action "Beauty and the Best" film opening in theatres on March 17, 2017, the Disneyland Resort is pulling out all the stops as it celebrates its fifth princess. While they might be stopping short at creating "Hidden Belles," there are plenty of ways for fans to experience Belle and all her friends at the Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure.

Don't believe me? Ask the dishes: This spring, Fantasyland's Village Haus Restaurant sheds transforms into the Red Rose Taverne, a lively French tavern inspired by the film. The eatery will feature specially designed decor, and each room showcases a story theme with related paintings, decor and specially crafted stained glass. The menu is also inspired by the film and includes items like the Enchanted Cauliflower Sandwich, Poutine Flatbread and Lemon Rose Cake. Also watch out for Gaston's Famous Brew, apple-mango punch topped with passion fruit foam.

While the flatware's entertaining: Next to the Red Rose Taverne, guests will can find a shop filled with treasures inspired by the film, including toys, collectables and clothing. Items on sale pay homage to the original animated film as well as the new live-action picture.

No one's as slick as Gaston, no one's quick as Gaston: Haughty Gaston will take time out from his busy schedule to meet with park guests around the Fantasyland area. In addition to the dashing villain, other movie characters including Belle can also be found posing throughout Fantasyland.

Try the grey stuff, it's delicious: In nearby Fantasy Faire--that's what used to be the Carnations Gardens Plaza for you old timers-Maurice's Treats is rolling out a series of new dipping sauces that pay homage to "Beauty and the Beast." There will be Marinara and Strawberry, but they're also selling the Grey Stuff. Go and try it...well you know the rest.

Tale as old as time: Also in Fantasy Faire, the Royal Theatre presents "Beauty and the Beast," a whimsical retelling of the story by the duo Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones. Performances run daily.

Just a little change, small to say the least: Guests at Disney California Adventure can also enjoy a sneak peak of the new live-action film at the Sunset Showcase Theater located in the park's Hollywood Land themed area.

The live-action film version of "Beauty and the Beast" premieres March 17, more than 25 years after the animated feature debuted.
