Buzz Lightyear will do a flyover above Sleeping Beauty Castle in a new fireworks show at Disneyland.

Wilderness Explorer Russell and lovable golden retriever Dug from "Up" will make an appearance in the Pixar Play Parade.

And the Paint the Night parade is back and includes a new Pixar-themed storyline, but this time at Disney California Adventure.

Disneyland officials announced Thursday, Oct. 26, they will hold a Pixar Fest, a celebration of movies and characters from Disney's Pixar Animation Studios, for a limited time to both Anaheim theme parks beginning April 13.

The Pixar celebration comes a few months after The Walt Disney Co. Parks and Resorts Chairman Bob Chapek announced at the D23 Expo that the Paradise Pier and Boardwalk area inside Disney California Adventure would be re-themed and called the Pixar Pier.

Disneyland officials said they have no opening date nor new information regarding the re-themed Pixar Pier land.

Pixar Fest is going to be a celebration of friendship and beyond, Disneyland officials said on their Disney Parks blog.

Both parks will be decked out with Pixar themed decor.

At Disneyland, visitors next year will watch a brand new fireworks show called "Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular." The fireworks show will feature a Buzz Lightyear flyover, pyrotechnics, music, and animated projections in certain parts of the park, Disney officials said.

The Pixar Play Parade, a mainstay at Disney California Adventure, will move for the first time to Disneyland.

The daytime parade has characters from "Monsters, Inc.," "The Incredibles," "Toy Story," and "Finding Nemo." The famous Pixar lamp, which jumps and dots the "i" on the screen credits before every Pixar film, will make an appearance for the first time as well as characters from "Up."

The emotions from "Inside Out" will also re-emerge. A couple years ago, the emotion characters made appearances as a pre-parade float before the Pixar Play Parade.

Additionally, the Paint the Night parade will make its debut at Disney California Adventure. A 17-minute modern version of the once-popular "Main Street Electrical Parade," Paint the Night features more than a million LED lights on floats and performers' costumes. A new Pixar story will be part of the procession, joining the characters and floats from "Toy Story," "Cars," and "Monsters, Inc."

Disney California Adventure will also hold a Pixar Shorts film festival featuring shorts including "For the Birds" and "Lava" at a theater in Hollywood Land. A Pixar-themed musical troupe and free arts and crafts for kids will be offered at the Paradise Gardens area.

Disney did not announce an end date for Pixar Fest.
