A new dueling piano show replacing the long-running “Laughing Stock Co.” at Disneyland is set to begin its run at the Golden Horseshoe Saloon in Frontierland as part of new lineup of entertainment replacing retiring shows.

The “Showdown at The Golden Horseshoe” dueling piano show in the Frontierland restaurant is scheduled to begin on Friday, Nov. 22, according to Disney officials.

The dueling piano players will “challenge one another in a good ol’ fashioned showdown” on the Golden Horseshoe stage. The pianists will play Old West tunes and take requests from the audience. The new show will combine musical theater, improv and storytelling with songs in classical, ragtime and country & western musical styles.

Performances of the “Showdown at The Golden Horseshoe” will take place on Friday at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.

The “Laughing Stock Co.” show featuring wacky Wild West-themed improvisational comedy ended its run at the Golden Horseshoe Saloon on Sept. 15.

The cancellation of “Laughing Stock Co.” was part of a string of Disney entertainment cutbacks that included the closure of the “Red Car News Boys” show and Pixarmonic Orchestra band as well as the scaling back of the “Tale of the Lion King” show at Disney California Adventure.

A new strolling magician entertains visitors in Frontierland with sleight-of-hand tricks as part of a new slate of live entertainment. The new Mickey’s Happy Holidays cavalcade of characters debuted on Nov. 8 as part of the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure.
