Of the four Monsanto attractions that existed in Tomorrowland in the 1950s and 60s the Hall of Chemistry was the only one to debut on opening day.The Hall of Chemistry big rectangular building inside Tomorrowland entrance was adorned on the outside with the red Monsanto logo in space-age atoms .Inside the hall was a free walk-through exhibit that featured information displays demonstrating how the modern world benefited from chemical engineering.
The Chematron, a collection of eight large test tubes of the eight basic materials found in nature which were made to produce 500 different chemicals and plastics.
The exhibit contained over-sized test tubes, electrified wall displays, and a metaphorical arm reaching across the ceiling. The Monsanto company sponsored this attraction which showed the importance of chemistry and chemicals to improve the quality of life.
