May 22--Thurl Ravenscroft, whose voice was known worldwide through his work in movies, television and at Disneyland, has died of prostate cancer. He was 91. Thurl Ravenscroft voice is used in Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion and the Enchanted Tiki Room and more.

November 28--E. Cardon 'Card' Walker, the former Walt Disney Co. chief executive who headed the company for nearly 15 years following the deaths of founders Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney, has died of congestive heart failure at his home in La Canada, Calif. He was 89. During his 45-year tenure at Disney, the executive rose through the ranks after starting out in the mailroom in 1938. In the 1950s and '60s, Walker worked closely with the Disney brothers on a wide range of Disney projects, including the development of the Disneyland attractions It's a Small World, Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion and the animated features '101 Dalmatians' and 'The Jungle Book.'
