Fans of vintage Disneyland may like to know that the Main Street Electrical Parade is making an encore appearance there starting Friday, Aug. 2 through Sept. 30.

This 20-minute-long parade with its half-million miniature lights and infectious synthesizer music starts at the beginning of Main Street, wends its way past the famous statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse toward the Matterhorn, and then ends at It’s a Small World.

Nothing new has been added to the parade since it last appeared in 2017, Disney officials said.

The parade debuted at the park in 1972 and ran until 1996, after which it was supposedly decommissioned for good. Disney even sold off its famous light bulbs as souvenirs. But later nostalgia brought it back repeatedly, including this visit.

Performances are scheduled nightly at 8:45 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.

And try not to let the “Baroque Hoedown” melody get stuck in your head. It will never come out.
